6 years since I was betrayed

So here we are, 6 years ago since I took ownership of the Yaesu FTM-400XDE and the Diamond NR-770RSP antenna that have been my mobile 2/70 setup across now 3 cars, and 6 years since I was stabbed in the back by the psychotic youngster Chance Callahan KD0MXN (who has in fact since renewed his Amateur radio licence in the last 12 months according to the FCC ULS).

Now many people will ask why I've not moved on from the actions of this young man who is unfit to hold any kind of radio transmission licence (he holds a GMRS licence too but that's a moot point unless I am physically in the United States)? The answer is I have and have made more progress in the hobby and my life in general than he ever will, however it is always good to remind the world as to why this young man should not hold a radio transmission licence of any kind, so

Apart from 6 years ago when he stabbed me in the back during my visit to Staines, his actions being based on lies about me, he also:

• was monitored over P25 radios by the Savannah, GA Sheriff's department abusing said radios issued to the local Civil Air Patrol squadron that he was a member of at the time and the FCC and the Savannah Sheriff's department did nothing even when he admitted it on ##hamradio on the now-defunct freenode IRC network (which he did and also openly admitted the decryption keys were leaked and he took control of them)
• Openly admitted to targeting vulnerable WiFi routers when a flaw in the encryption was leaked, again on ##hamradio on the now-defunct freenode
• Gave a then newly-licensed ham some very irresponsible, dangerous and illegal advice on /r/amateurradio on reddit
• Made false accusations about the 'theft' of a clickbait image going around on reddit that actually had been for many many months prior to that, his modus operandi is generally to make false accusations
• And at one point, for clearly committing a serious violation of the network's rules, he was given a network-wide ban from IRC network Snoonet that had lapsed in August 2019.

Given I spent 7 months working at a job that required me to have a DBS check (which is a criminal record check) which came back clear in mid 2020 to early 2021 all of his claims about me have been officially false thanks to a department of HM Government, but the main thing is he cannot harass me on the air as he knows full well what will happen if he does, and I will continue in this hobby and he cannot do a thing about it even if he thinks he can,

5 years since I was betrayed

 So here we are at 5 years since I went to Staines to go to Martin Lynch & Sons for my Yaesu FTM-400XDE, Diamond NR770RSP antenna and Sirio magmount which that antenna is screwed into, unfortunately this day 5 years ago I was stabbed in the back by a fellow ham as you know, Chance Callahan KD0MXN (or is that ex KD0MXN as his licence seemingly expired in November according to the FCC ULS), my belief now is he did it because he believed in his own little sick twisted mind that I was stalking another IRC user that lives in that area which is utter rubbish, why would a ham be in Staines? ML&S of course (unless they actually lived in Staines too).

As you know I feel this young man is unfit to hold any kind of radio transmitting licence (he also holds a GMRS licence which is not something that I am too bothered about because that is not a service used worldwide and cannot propagate worldwide), so why do I feel he is unfit to hold any kind of licence, Amateur or otherwise? here's the list again.

Apart from stabbing me in the back when I went to ML&S 5 years ago he also:

• was monitored over P25 radios while in Savannah, GA by the local Sheriff's department, which he became aware of after the decryption keys were leaked, he openly admitted to abuse of these radios on freenode's ##hamradio and the FCC did nothing
• Openly admitted to planning to attack vulnerable WiFi routers when a flaw in the encryption used on these was discovered and published
• gave a then newly licensed ham some very dangerous and irresponsible, as well as illegal, advice on reddit's /r/amateurradio
• made false accusations about the 'theft' of a clickbait image on reddit, which turned out to be during the rounds for quite some time before that
• and at one point in time was issued a network-wide ban from snoonet, an IRC network attached to reddit in some way, usually IRC channels of various subreddits, that ban lapsed in August 2019.

As Chance Callahan has made countless accusations against me as well that are unfounded and untrue I worried up until November, when his Amateur radio licence appeared to lapse, that I'd have to deal with his abuse on the air, if I do hear him now I am now in a position to report him as a pirate as he does not have a valid Amateur radio licence at this time, and since the last time I posted this to work at the fulfilment centre I was at for 7 months I had a criminal record check, it came back clear thus proving Chance Callahan to be the liar and deceitful person that he is, and I have the British Disclosure and Barring Service to thank for that, and if he calls a British Governmental department liars then that proves my point about him.

My time in the radio hobby has been great since I passed my foundation exam 6 years ago, and my Advanced in 2019 has given me a lot of confidence to continue to pursue such a great hobby where people like Chance Callahan are, happily, in the minority.

4 years since I was betrayed

So 4 years now since I went to Staines to ML&S to pick up my Yaesu FTM-400XDE, Diamond NR770RSP and Sirio magmount, and unfortuately 4 years since I was stabbed in the back by Chance Callahan KD0MXN, and he was active on air sadly as recent as April this year, however using APRSDroid from a phone and he still has not changed his address with the FCC ULS putting him in breach of Part 97 assuming, if I read it correctly, that all hams out there in the states have to change their address when they move house, however his track record is grim and he is woefully unfit to hold an Amateur radio licence.

So apart from stabbing me in the back when I went to Staines in 2016 he also:

• was monitored over P25 radios by the Savannah, GA Sheriff's department, radios that were issued to him by the Civil Air Patrol squadron of which he was a member at the time, he openly admitted to abusing these radios on an IRC channel in front of other hams and the FCC did nothing
• Openly planned to attack vulnerable WiFi routers
• Gave a then newly licensed Amateur in the US some extremely dangerous and illegal advice on reddit's r/amateurradio
• Made false accusations regarding the "theft" of a clickbait ad image on reddit, which turned out not to be stolen and he was just being how he normally is as he's too blind to see the truth
• received a network-wide ban at some point in time from IRC network Snoonet, this obviously since lapsed as he was back there under his reddit username 'hyp3rdriv3' up until the 5th August last year, though had not uttered a word since 19th May last year

He also hoped to get back on air using a HackRF SDR at one point, the output of those is dirty so would not be possible without filtering and it can access bands he does not have privileges on as well. 

I meanwhile, still not deterred from the hobby by this horrible young man who has tried to break rules as he sees fit and harass me at every opportunity, have continued on and reached the full licence level here in the UK since the last anniversary of this terrible act, and I also run a YouTube channel on all things radio both Amateur and CB, and stay within the terms of my licence and also don't break the law, makes me a good operator and I am always happy to speak to people on air.

On the plus side I have more content planned for YouTube so keep watching.

Devastating news for digital voice mode users

It has come to my attention that Chance Callahan KD0MXN had obtained a DMR ID in December 2018, and all this time I was under the impression that he was strictly D-STAR, however not so.

The DMR ID for gateway and repeater operators to blacklist, if this is even possible, is 3122805 if you value the safety of your gateway or repeater and Amateur radio operators worldwide, this comes as a massive blow because DMR reflectors and talkgroups can be crosslinked to Yaesu System Fusion, though I do use DMR myself and this means he could potentially send threatening and harassing messages over DMR as it supports a form of text messaging.

From what I can tell the contacts list in my DMR HT is not up to date from that point, however as I bought a radio for DMR that can record the second I hear a voice contact from him the second it gets recorded and then forwarded to the FCC to be dealt with, I can only summise the primary reason he got a DMR ID in the first place was to access the DMR network and harass me, obviously he won't be telling people that as he is a very sneaky conniving young man.

From what I can also tell is that because the DMR reflectors and talkgroupls I use are also accessible on YSF reflectors and FCS reflectors I can access from my Jumbospot through my two existing YSF radios, neither of which are able to record as far as I know however I am never far away from a computer or my mobile phone.

So why should we blacklist this young man from DMR? here's the list

• He never stays true to his word and stabs people in the back and makes false claims about them, he did this to me on the day I bought my FTM-400XDE
• He was monitored by the Sheriff's department in Savannah, GA over P25 radios which he openly admitted to misusing anyway and the FCC did nothing
• He planned to attack vulnerable WiFi routers using knowledge he gained from passing his Technician class exam
• He gave some very dangerous and illegal advice to a newly-licensed American Amateur radio operator on reddit
• He made false accusations about the "theft" of a picture from reddit that turned out to just be a click-bait ad that had been posted as a topic in reddit previously
• He received a network-wide (G-line) ban from IRC network Snoonet and to warrant that you have to seriously break the rules which of course he would have done given his background and history

I was hoping it would be some months before I would be posting about the single individual in our hobby that by rights should not be part of it, it sickens me that he is because his behaviour, attitude and history go contrary to what Amateur radio is all about, the sooner the FCC do revoke his license the better.

On closing he made a remark in ##hamradio on freenode on the 18th May speculating that a user there could have been an AI written by a University, considering his track record his speculations tend to become accusations pretty quickly.

I know that it will be a matter of time before the individual I refer to as the 'disgusting creature' will pass this on to him, however the stress caused to me will be low to nil unless of course I hear him on the air via CQ-UK or Hubnet as these are the primary places on DMR and YSF I monitor when not monitoring GB3IR or GB3HG.

Regular readers will know it has been three years since I made the journey to Staines to go to Martin Lynch & Sons to purchase my FTM-400XDE, my Diamond NR770RSP antenna and a Sirio magmount, however that day was marred by Chance Callahan KD0MXN, who stabbed me in the back, and as the years have gone on I think I may have found his motive behind it now, but first to bring you all up to speed on this young man from America who is grossly unfit to hold an Amateur radio licence.

Apart from stabbing me in the back when I went to Staines to ML&S he also:

• was monitored by the Savannah, GA Sheriff's department on Project 25 radios, which he openly admitted to misusing
• Openly planned to attack vulnerable WiFi routers
• Gave a newly-licensed Amateur in the USA some extremely dangerous and illegal advice on reddit's /r/amateurradio
• Made false accusations about the theft of an image from reddit, which turned out to be nothing more than a click bait ad that was never stolen
• And at one point in time received a network-wide ban from IRC network Snoonet (which since seems to have lapsed as he is back there now)

So it seems to sum him and his negativity up, my theory, though not proven, regarding why he stabbed me in the back is that because he thinks I am a stalker, which is certainly not true as stalkers make me sick to my stomach and I've had to deal with a genuine one of late, he thought I was stalking an IRC user who just so happened to live in the Staines area, the only interest I have in Staines is ML&S, nothing more, and the sooner Chance Callahan KD0MXN understands this the better, I still have the box the FTM-400XDE came in and it just so happens to have a 'ML&S' sticker on the side of it, I still have a copy of the invoice, so I have sufficient evidence to why I was in Staines that day.

The thing of note most of all is that there has been both no APRS and D-STAR activity by Chance Callahan KD0MXN, perhaps that is a good sign, who knows, but any action that sees him off the air is a good thing, and his licence is due to expire next year unless he renews it which he may not do so or the FCC may finally revoke it between now and then, but we will see.

I meanwhile am not deterred from the hobby and progress on to get my full licence, that would more than likely infuriate Chance Callahan KD0MXN immensely given how much he hates me and thinks in his own little messed-up head that I shouldn't have more privileges than him, but I do not care what he thinks, I just want the world to know that he is nasty and has no place in our hobby and his actions have not really done him favours in regards to this.

Could the reign of terror by Chance Callahan KD0MXN be coming to an end?

This is a question that I hope the answer will be 'yes' to, as according to the FCC ULS his request for change of address and vanity call W4BORG have been dismissed, the former still puts him on the wrong side of Part 97 and the latter was expected anyway.

The FCC probably would have not done this without good reason, factor in his network-wide ban from Snoonet and a disappearance from freenode (or at least ##hamradio) in the last couple of weeks, perhaps things are looking up for the rest of the Amateur radio community in the fight to keep the bad people out of the hobby, I have also failed to see him in /r/amateurradio on reddit which may also be as a result of his network wide ban at Snoonet.

In any case, I see any action against Chance Callahan KD0MXN in a positive light, as he is a blight on every community he is in contact with and manipulates his way to power just to abuse it to get rid of those with the guts to stand up to him, however the only way he can get rid of me from the hobby is to report me to Ofcom for breach of my licence conditions, which he has no evidence for and Ofcom would need to see hard evidence regardless, and should I be subject to a station inspection because of him then this should not be a major deal, I have nothing to hide from Ofcom and am a rule-abiding Amateur operator unlike Chance Callahan.

His licence itself is still showing as active on the FCC ULS, only time will tell if it becomes inactive soon or whether that will happen in November 2020.

And don't let Chance Callahan or people like him frighten you away from the hobby, the rest of us are all very decent and civilised people, and I for one hope to work you on the bands real soon.

Bullying by Amateur operators, apparently very real (although I know that one from off-air experience)

The other day I watched a video by Callum M0MCX of DX Commander, he had received a letter from a holder of a foundation licence who he referred to as "Tim" (not the letter writer's real name), and I was, shall I say, mortified by what Callum read from this letter, and no doubt it upset many more, it mostly went on about how older hams who are far too set in their ways did not like the idea of the foundation licence at the time (around about 2006, when the M3 pool was still used), I'm not going to repeat any of what was said in the video, however it struck a chord with me, because as you know I was betrayed, belittled and harassed, even after getting my M6 and possibly for a time after getting my 2E0 as well, by Chance Callahan KD0MXN who I did report wants to get his general, possibly as I have a licence that permits more than what he can do (though my foundation allowed me on the vast majority of HF with a few exceptions where the equivalent Technician class licence in the US allows a portion of 10-meters only as well as 2 and 70 and a couple of other bands) and he is probably not happy that someone he has an absolute hatred of and will harass at any given opportunity has a higher class licence than him.

Until watching Callum's video I though I was the only Amateur to have suffered at the hands of a fellow amateur, I was lucky as my harassment never took place on the air and if it did I'd happily hand recording of it to the FCC and see Chance Callahan's licence revoked, however after I reported on the fact he had not updated his address as mandated in Part 97 he has in the last 10 days done it, he has also requested vanity call W4BORG, another call to add to the blacklists though I don't believe he will be issued it but best to blacklist it anyway.

As I have always said, the bullies are a minority, and I continue to enjoy this hobby regardless of what I have suffered at the hands of Chance Callahan KD0MXN, I am even now putting time and effort into making my shack more functional as you will have read up on, and even hoping to get an outside 2 and 70 antenna up (though to stand any chance it will be below the roofline), so I can do more operating from home, and I could potentially return from the National Hamfest with a new radio, my last rally-bought radio being my AnyTone 868 which I got from Bowburn, and if Chance Callahan had succeeded in driving me off the bands I'd never have bought it, or started building my shack desk or even booked camping at this year's National Hamfest.

If you find yourself being bullied by a fellow ham on or off the bands, remember this, you are better than they are, if on the bands, tune to another frequency, if off the bands then if in person walk away, if online just close or switch the window, the bully will never know and if you don't give them what they want they will not bite, my postings about Chance Callahan KD0MXN are usually beyond what he has done to me as he has done plenty of things that the FCC and the Amateur radio community would frown upon, as well as it transpires the IRC network Snoonet who have outright banned him (called a G-line in IRC terminology).

Enjoy radio, don't let the bullies stop you, the vast majority of radio operators, Amateur and CB, are a friendly bunch and more than willing to help the newcomers, even me.

It has come to my attention that Chance Callahan KD0MXN, the young man unfit to be a licensed Amateur for the many reasons I have alluded to, is up to no good again, this time accusing someone of 'stealing' a picture from Reddit with no proof, no evidence, and no grounds, sound familiar?

Of course it does, he has a track record of false accusations against people, and this is the latest on that list, though this is a minor infraction and does not breach Part 97 of the FCC rules in of itself it is another clear hint of his bad personality.

As far as I can tell, anything posted to Reddit becomes public domain, same as it would if you posted it to any website where anyone can access it and their are no privacy settings, only when the privacy settings are on is when there would be an issue, seems Chance Callahan has completely disregarded this and of course made false accusations like he is so good at.

The sooner he is out of this hobby the better, he ruins it for every other Amateur in the world.

Edit: 18/06/18: I have revisited the thread on reddit and it has been conclusively revealed that the picture that Chance Callahan KD0MXN was claiming to have been 'stolen' was in fact not so and was not originally from /r/amateurradio but in fact posted there as a joke thread some months prior, so I am now 100% satisfied that Chance Callahan KD0MXN is one again accusing an innocent person of crimes they did not commit, and he is allowed to hold an Amateur radio licence... why?

Edit: 19/06/18: I have dug deeper into this, and confirmed the original image is in fact a screenshot of a click bait ad, thus confirming what I already alluded to above, this picture was absolutely not stolen from /r/amateurradio at all as the source of it is in fact the very click bait ads it came from, and already being satisfied that Chance Callahan KD0MXN was making false accusations, I don't need to say anything further on this

2 years since I was betrayed

So as you know today marks 2 years since I was in Staines visiting Martin Lynch & Sons to purchase my Yaesu FTM-400XDE however as you will recall I was betrayed by Chance Callahan KD0MXN before making it to the showroom, and as you know he thinks he is innocent of wrong doing and I am the guilty party despite his behaviour which is unacceptable in the Amateur radio community.

After my last post about his irresponsible actions, poor and potentially illegal and dangerous advice to a newly qualified Amateur on Reddit, and his subsequent gloating about it on ##hamradio on freenode, little has been heard from him, perhaps President Trump sent FCC heavies around and took out his station once and for all? Sadly unlikely, as the FCC have done absolutely nothing despite the information they got off me, though the FCC do answer to the US Federal Government.

There is also the likelihood that since relocating to Washington DC he is treading very carefully as he knows that he is in the wrong, though that would not explain his bad behaviour on reddit recently, however the only conclusive proof I can get is if I record on-air abuse, the FCC would have to act then, the evidence would be there.

I still pray though that I will never have to deal with him on air as I don't want to deal with him on air, no one does and there is no place for him and his atrocious behaviour in the hobby.

Chance Callahan KD0MXN is at it again...

and this time he is suggesting obnoxious and potentially illegal activities to a newly licensed Amateur from the USA on Reddit, with claims ##hamradio on freenode assisted him (which is unlikely as I am pretty sure their responses were not serious in any way shape or form.

basically he suggests this newly licensed operator wipes out 2.4GHz with 50 watts of white noise thus ensuring no one with a WiFi device can connect to the internet, for one that is certainly illegal, as Amateur radio is operated on a basis where it must not cause interference in pretty much any country, and that kind of activity is for all intents and purposes a Denial of Service attack, also illegal.

his comments on Reddit can be found here, and also, as he suggested modifying a microwave rated at 1.2kW into a transmitter his actions can be seen as irresponsible and potentially dangerous.

Why he is STILL in our hobby one will never know but it needs to stop and the FCC have to do something now, if he was British and held a UK callsign Ofcom would have already dealt with it by now, but sadly this is not the case and us genuinely decent Amateur radio operators who enjoy the hobby and want to welcome newcomers have to deal with him.

Fortunately as he is still a technician class and not general class yet I won't hear him on anything below the phone section of 10-meters, personally I'd rather not deal with it.

I honestly hope his local Sheriff's department is still keeping an eye on him and his radio transmissions both on the Amateur service and CAP because quite frankly this flouting of rules and regulations and irresponsible behaviour has gone on too long.

Edit: 23/4/18 @12:32 BST: I have also discovered that, despite not updating his licence details which he should have done as part of adhering to Part 97 of the FCC rules, he has since moved to Washington DC, the capital of the United States, this makes his behaviour more serious simply because Washington DC is home to the White House, The Pentagon and other important US Government establishments including the FCC Headquarters which means he will be caught much faster with his infringements of Part 97, does he really want to behave the way he does in the vicinity of those buildings? I should think not but he does.

Pretty much every Amateur radio operator works hard to obtain his or her licence and progress in the hobby, I myself am studying for my full licence when I can, however today, and the hobby itself, once again has been spoiled by Chance Callahan KD0MXN.

Sure you will recognise this individual, he is the one that stabbed me in the back the day I went personally to Martin Lynch & Sons to buy my Yaesu FTM-400XDE, and has since committed and planned to commit many atrocities ever since, including harassing me at every opportunity.

This then bring me to the post title, he has since taken it upon himself to hack WiFi routers using the very knowledge he gained during his course and exam for his Technician licence (roughly equivalent to the UK foundation though not entirely), as it has since been learned there is a fundamental weakness in WPA2 that allows someone to gain the key and monitor packets, the full explanation is beyond the scope of this blog as it is focused on radio, and WiFi is relevant as it is roughly in or near the 13cm band (though more accurately just above it).

He intends to build a "cantenna", this is an antenna made from a can of sorts, though he did not specify what can he'd use I can safely assume it would not be made from a potato snack can as this would be useless at 2.4GHz for anything realistic and he would know this too, he did not explain how he'd connect this to a laptop or other device to conduct the attacks.

This act is in gross violation of computer misuse laws worldwide, not only this it puts Callahan in breach of Part 97 of the FCC rules (Part 97 is Amateur radio regulations, similar to Ofcom's conditions here in the UK), and if this does not get his licence revoked I do not know what will, and as he mentioned this in ##hamradio on freenode he may find his door being broken down by the FBI pretty soon, as well as a polite letter from the FCC saying he no longer is eligible to hold an Amateur radio licence.

We can only now hope that this will be the final nail in the coffin for Chance Callahan's life of flouting the rules and laws when he sees fit, there is no place for people like him in the hobby

By the next post I should have calmed down somewhat, and I felt that this was best put out there for all to see.

Edit: I did not read the information correctly and he plans to target 5GHz WiFi routers as well as the exploit I alluded to effects them also, this means that he could be constructing more than one antenna, bearing in mind the information was given out between 6:30 and 7:00am BST today he may well be well into building the antenna assuming he started then (they are 5 hours behind so he may have been asleep for a couple of hours since), readers of the blog in Garden City and Savannah, GA, keep an eye out for suspicious activity on your WiFi

Disturbing news for the Amateur radio community

I have learned today that Chance Callahan KD0MXN is to study for the US General licence (he has technician already, which is like our foundation, General is like our Intermediate), this confirms that the FCC have been incompetent and disregarded all evidence I gave against him, and thus this individual is still in our community and has not yet been shunned out.

I suspect I know two reasons as to why he intends to do this, first and foremost is because he is now aware that I have my Intermediate and he feels that I should not be better than him in all things Amateur radio given his extreme pathological hatred of me, second is because his current callsign has been pretty much outed as bad.

So what can be done? Seeing as the FCC will not revoke his licence despite all the evidence I handed to them there is nothing that can be done, and with me moving QTH I have not been able to study for my Advanced yet, but I certainly intend to at some stage, something I have made very clear.

Despite a monumental pile of evidence against him and even his local Sheriff's department watching him due to other crimes why is he still licenced and allowed in our community? I guess we will never know, he will be ousted, and that is certain, as the Amateur radio community has no time for people like him.

A year since I was betrayed

As you may be aware, a year ago I was down in Staines picking up a Yaesu FTM-400XDE from Martin Lynch & Sons, before I could so much as set foot in the showroom however I was betrayed by Chance Callahan KD0MXN, who to this day believes he is innocent of any wrong doing and considers me the guilty party.

During this last 12 months I have done all I can to protect the rest of the Amateur radio community from Callahan, that has not been an easy task as part of this relies on the FCC who aren't that forthcoming or helpful, and various other organisations, however it seems that whatever I have done at some point in time is working, as the Sheriff's department local to him is watching him very closely as there are a lot of things he said he would do which are beyond the scope of this blog and are certainly not welcome in the radio hobby.

From the information I have gathered, it seems his local Sheriff's department had, in plaintext, the decryption keys for the Project 25 (America's answer to TETRA) radios used by the Civil Air Patrol squadron of which he is a member, I do not believe that his local Sheriff's department would have held these keys, let alone in plaintext, unless they were monitoring something out of the ordinary, it is for this reason I believe they were watching him, unfortunately someone made a cock-up, the keys made it to an affiliate of the American Broadcasting Company, and anyone equipped with a scanner was able to listen in, bringing the attention of this to Callahan, and subsequently to me when he himself told fellow hams that this happened, he now controls the keys himself, but it proves that the Amateur radio community will oust people like Callahan pretty quickly, it just leaves the FCC to do their part, if they will do their part, I have yet to hear back from them but it's a US government department and it may take time.

With this latest chain of events, I have faith that Chance Callahan won't be KD0MXN for much longer (or be allowed to hold any type of transmitting licence ever again as he openly admitted to not following protocol using the P25 radios issued to him by the CAP), I have held this information for some weeks but did not desire to post it until the first anniversary of Callahan's attack against me, which as you can easily tell has not stopped me being active in Amateur radio, in fact I enjoy radio immensely and feel very welcome and no one on the bands yet has said otherwise as I am a very good operator and am eager to learn more.

Blog silence for a while

With the ongoing issues with Chance Callahan KD0MXN and the necessity to get those issues resolved I will be maintaining a blog silence while this is ongoing, however I will not maintain a radio silence on Amateur and CB radio, my transmissions will continue until such times as it turns out that Callahan surfaces on the air.

I am mostly found on 2-metres at present, usually repeaters and will generally respond to any calls if I am listening to a particular frequency or repeater.

Once my silence ends I will post an update

Any transmissions from KD0MXN that I hear WILL be logged for the benefit of the FCC

The not so nice people in the radio hobby

The vast majority of those in the hobby, licensed or not, that I have ever spoken to have always been nice to me and treated me with the utmost respect I come to expect from those in the hobby, sadly there are some that are not as nice, I've seen snippets of this on YouTube of how not to behave on the air, but there is always one licensed Amateur radio operator that stands out from even those, Chance Callahan KD0MXN, this is a young man that for years has held an ongoing grudge against myself and when I got my foundation license last year I thought maybe he would show some respect for me, alas this was not the case.

I would advise people to use caution if they ever encounter this callsign on the air, this young man is not a nice person at all and since 2008 had gone out of his way to make my life utter hell, and has told countless lies about me, why would a fellow Amateur radio operator do this? who knows, it comes as a sad day, and this is the day I actually got myself a new rig and mobile whip too, so it should have been a very good day but alas not to be, ruined by a fellow amateur operator who holds a grudge and claims a "restraining order" has been issued against me by someone, which I know not to be true as I have never been in a court room in my life, and that I allegedly almost drove someone to suicide, both these claims have no evidence and no grounds.

He also claimed in the past I gave his address out, all US callsigns automatically go onto QRZ.com, therefore it is public domain, just like the contents of the RSGB callbook here in the UK, though I forget if that lists calls and addresses.

Hopefully something good will come out of this, but we will see
